AARP to offer free tax preparation

AARP Foundation will offer free income tax preparation at sites in Kihei and Kahului beginning Feb. 15. Due to COVID-19 precautions, people must make appointments to have their taxes done. Appointments will be taken by Kaunoa Senior Center at (808) 270-7308 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. starting Tuesday. Those having their taxes done will be required to pick up packets several days in advance to take home and complete before returning for their appointments. UH-Maui College offers vaccine clinic

The University of Hawaii Maui College will host a Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine clinic for those who are 12 years old and older at the Campus Health Center. The clinic will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the campus, where there will be first, second, and booster doses available, according to a news release. Booster shots are recommended five months or later after the first two doses of Moderna or Pfizer and two months after one dose of the Johnson & Johnson shot. Flu shots will also be available.
